BCR-ABL Mbcr (p210) Fusion Quantitative Real-time PCR (CML)

A molecular blood test that detects and quantifies the BCR-ABL (p210) fusion gene using real-time PCR technology. The p210 transcript is most commonly associated with Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML).

Fasting Required:
 No fasting is required.

Why the Test is Done:

• To confirm the diagnosis of CML.

• To detect the Philadelphia chromosome (BCR-ABL fusion gene).

• To monitor treatment response and disease progression.
